Futures leverage

Hello!

I have a quick question!

i have 10x leverage on a coin on futures but the liquidation limit is scaring me a bit. So my question is, if i adjust my leverage down to 2x or 3x, what effect would that have on my current position.

Will my liquidity lower too (giving my more room for liquidation)?

Also, i’m guessing if that happens, my profit and amount of coin “bought” will reduce too?

Some please help! ????????
