Hargreaves Lansdowne, the largest retail investment platform in the UK, just warned investors that “bitcoin is not an asset class and shouldn’t be part of a portfolio for growth or income.”

This comes two days after the UK officially lifted its ban on crypto exchange-traded notes (ETNs), finally allowing retail access again.

Interesting timing.

HL claims crypto has “no intrinsic value,” while others like Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, and Invesco call it “digital gold” or a hedge against traditional markets.

Looks like the divide between TradFi and CryptoFi is wider than ever.
